Going for gold

New Gold College leaders, Ms S Patel and Ms Byrne, look to a bright future 

As joint leaders of Gold College, our role is to represent and support all its members. We lead assemblies, promote inter-college events and encourage everyone to get involved in co-curricular opportunities. We also work to motivate students to achieve their best, both in and out of the classroom, and to help Gold College earn points in healthy competition against the other colleges. 

This year our aim is to build a strong sense of teamwork and pride within Gold College. We want every student to feel part of something bigger and to know their contribution matters. Whether through academic effort, sports, the arts, or community events, we hope to see as many students as possible representing Gold College and gaining points. Ultimately, our goal is to lead Gold College to victory - but also to make sure our members enjoy the journey along the way.  

Being part of Gold College means living out the school’s values in everything we do. We respect and support one another, we find enjoyment in both participation and competition and we strive for excellence by always giving our best. As members of Gold, we aspire to achieve highly and persevere when challenges come our way. It’s about pride, teamwork and making the most of every opportunity.  

We’re really excited to be leading Gold College this year and are proud to represent such a talented group of students. We encourage everyone to get involved - no matter how big or small the contribution - because every effort adds up. Together, we can make this a memorable and successful year for Gold College.
