Sports
Our successful PE Department is committed to providing opportunities for students to participate in sports at all levels, challenging and supporting them to achieve their sporting potential, whatever that may be.
It’s important for students to make the most of our broad and varied co-curricular sports programme because it offers so much more than just physical activity. By taking part, students develop teamwork, leadership, resilience and communication skills that are invaluable both in and out of school. Regular participation also supports health and wellbeing, helping to reduce stress and improve focus in the classroom. Beyond the personal benefits, the programme provides opportunities to represent the school, build friendships across year groups and discover new passions that they may carry into later life. With such a wide and varied programme available, it’s a chance for every student to find an activity they enjoy, push themselves outside of their comfort zone, and make the most of the opportunities on offer. Our current co-curricular sports offer can be found on the Physical Education curriculum page.

Our school has built a strong reputation across the borough for being highly competitive in a wide range of sports. This success is driven not only by the talent and commitment of our students, but also by the outstanding organisation and dedication of our PE staff, who work tirelessly to provide opportunities and prepare teams to perform at their very best.
Representing the school in sport is a valuable experience that gives students a strong sense of pride and belonging, while also challenging them to push their skills against other teams. It helps build friendships and team spirit, develops resilience, confidence and leadership, and provides recognition for their efforts. Above all, it’s a chance to be part of something bigger, celebrate achievement together, and create lasting memories.
